This is a genuine, original, antique hand-colored bookplate (print), circa 1856-1871, NOT A REPRODUCTION. It is titled: American Golden Plover. This original lithograph plate Number 316 came from John James Audubons Birds of North America, the Royal Octavo Edition, printed and colored by J. T. Bowen, Philadelphia. The plate is in good condition for its age, with normal age toning.
