This is a genuine, original, antique hand-colored bookplate (print) on heavy-duty paper, circa 1829, NOT A REPRODUCTION. The print is titled: Anthus Aquaticus, Plate Number 44. The plate was published in Fauna boreali-americana, or The zoology of the northern parts of British America : containing descriptions of the objects of natural history collected on the late northern land expeditions, under command of Captain Sir John Franklin, Royal Navy. The plate is in good condition, with normal aging.
