Aunty (Strip)

This is a genuine, original, circa 1930s Florida citrus crate label, NOT A REPRODUCTION. It is titled: Aunty. The label uses the stereotype of an African-American “aunty” as the basis for its advertising theme. This is the smaller strip label used in the 1930s by the Alturas-Garfield Citrus Cooperative, Bartow Polk County Florida.
