This is a genuine, original, circa 1940s Canadian apple crate label, NOT A REPRODUCTION. It is titled: Big Chief Brand Canada Extra Fancy Apples. This label is in very good condition and was printed by Grant & Mann Vancouver B.C. for the British Columbia Fruit Shippers Ltd in Vernon, British Columbia. The label uses a stern faced, tight jawed, Native Indian as its advertising theme, and it boasts the apples are mountain grown. This label is in excellent condition and would make a welcome addition to any label collection. Framed apple crate labels provide excellent décor for the kitchen or in a restaurant setting.
